Oxnard: Tri-County GLAD Community Education Workshop, “Empowerment.”

Flyer “Empowerment”Tri-County GLAD will host a Community Education Workshop about “Empowerment.”  What is “Empowerment” and what is “Self Advocacy?” Find out the importance of knowing your resources and learn how to be assertive. Presented by TC GLAD Advocate Christina Montero (hearing) and ILRC Advocate Ken McLellan (deaf), with deaf community members George “Skippy” Mangum and John Ames.  This workshop will be interactive with the deaf, hard of hearing and hearing community.  After the presentation, there will be time for all your questions and discussions. Enjoy FREE REFRESHMENTS while chatting with friends and meet new people. This is a FREE WORKSHOP with plenty of FREE PARKING.  This event will be in sign language and will be interpreted for English.  All deaf, hard of hearing and hearing are welcome.
